About Us
Named after the Greenwich Meridian Line which runs through
the course and over 6,700 yards from the members’ tees. The course
has water hazards on all but five of the holes and large, undulating
greens. Built to USGA championship course standards, a challenge for aspiring
champions while being pleasantly playable for all.

Jenny Wisson"We
are always delighted to welcome members and visitors to Cambridge
Meridian. The reaction from our guests is usually one of amazement
at the rolling hillside and general terrain of a course so close to
Cambridge. We work closely with our greenkeeping team to make the
course an enjoyable experience for all standards of player. Our fairways
are generous in size and the greens large and inviting to hit."

Vivien
Saunders
Vivien Saunders, is well known in the world of golf as a teacher, writer
and player. She won the British Women’s Open in 1977, was England
National Coach for 18 years, was twice winner of the British Sports

Vivien has a busy schedule of after dinner speaking. Her brand of golfing
humour is a breath of fresh air – a kind of Victoria Wood on golf.
Vivien also tours the country giving demonstrations on all aspects of
the game, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. If you would like
to book Vivien for after dinner speaking of a golf clinic at your club,

"Cambridge Meridian is something very special. It was designed
as a real championship course for the 21st century. The back tees
can be stretched to over 7,000 yards for professionals, but our aim
is to give the amateur golfer a fair test of golf and a thoroughly
enjoyable round. Our attitude to golf is modern and relaxed. We pride
ourselves on a clubhouse and general environment which is welcoming
to players of all ages."

History of the Club
Cambridge Meridian was designed by golfing legend, Peter Alliss and Ryder Cup player, Clive Clark, in 1990 as part of the Compton Holdings Group. Vivien Saunders and Jenny Wisson bought the course in 1993, before it was fully completed, and opened it for membership in April 1994. Since then there have only been minor alterations to the Alliss and Clark layout, mainly the extension of two of the lakes and redesigning three bunkers.
The course is set in rolling countryside just south west of Cambridge, with a small river, the Bourn Brook, meandering through it and coming into play on five holes.
Club Management Team
The day-to-day running of the club is organised by the management team
who work closely with the owners to provide a top quality course, a
welcoming clubhouse and lively management of club competitions. We are
always willing to listen to and discuss constructive suggestions with
members, and this openness is encouraged and nurtured. Members' opinions
are valued and encouraged.
Dog friendly
As with most traditional golf courses we welcome well behaved golfing
dogs on the course at Cambridge Meridian. They are welcome to sit with
you on the club patio after play. We do ask that you keep them on a
lead on the course and round the clubhouse. We do have dog members at
Cambridge Meridian.
