English Ladies' Senior International Open 2009Cambridge Meridian is hosting the English Ladies' Senior International Open 14th, 15th & 16th July. This championship is open to lady amateurs and professionals, from home or abroad, aged 50 or above on the first day of the tournament. Players will compete for the Vivien Saunders trophy. (More details) Unique Presentation takes place at the club.Sunday the 14th December saw a big gathering at the club for the Christmas cracker competition and annual presentation afternoon.
To mark this special occasion the club presented Nick with a unique trophy in the form of a cut glass claret jug engraved with the five major titles he had won. The Major trophies he won this year are - The Spring Cup, Order of Merit Plate, Eclectic Shield, Club Championship, Gross Trophy and the Victor Ludorum Cup. With 27 teams in the field and all the Professionals picked from the preceding two day "Order of Merit" tournament, held on the Wednesday and Thursday. The Pro-am started off in good fashion with the course being in an excellent condition and the standard of play from both the professionals and amateurs returning some good scores.
